Our take
Complianz fits sites that run WordPress (or Shopify, through its separate app) exclusively and want legal documents generated alongside the banner. SmartConsent is a better pick if your stack is anything else, if you run multiple properties on different frameworks, or if you need coverage beyond the regions Complianz targets.

Decide whether to keep the policy docs
Complianz generates your Privacy Policy and Cookie Statement. If you want to keep those, leave the plugin active but disable its banner, and add the SmartConsent tag. Otherwise, uninstall Complianz and source your policy documents separately.
