DevGenie commands

What each DevGenie command in Claude Code is for, from /devgenie:setup and /devgenie:new to the AgentDev commands.

Each command runs only when you type it. Most of them fetch their instructions from the DevGenie service each time, so they stay current without updating the plugin.

Getting ready

  • /devgenie:setup checks your machine and confirms you are signed in and active. Safe to run any time.
  • /devgenie:new starts a new project in the current folder.

Building a project

  • /devgenie:intake checks that your project inputs are ready to build from.
  • /devgenie:foundation drafts your project's architecture document from those inputs.
  • /devgenie:gate requests an independent rating of your architecture document from the DevGenie service.
  • /devgenie:scaffold prepares the project for building.
  • /devgenie:slice helps you build and check a project task, with your approval.
  • /devgenie:status shows where the project stands.

AgentDev (building your own agents)

For building LLM-powered agents and prompts.

  • /devgenie:agent-foundation drafts the agent's specification and its evaluation specification.
  • /devgenie:agent-gate requests an independent rating of the agent specifications.
  • /devgenie:agent-scaffold prepares files for building and evaluating an agent.
  • /devgenie:agent-slice helps you evaluate and improve an agent, with your approval.
